A public VPN server is an endpoint that allows users to connect through a VPN tunnel without a private company account or dedicated subscription.

Who operates public VPN servers?

Some public VPN servers are operated by volunteers, universities, network enthusiasts, or third parties. Because they are not controlled by Vortix VPN, their uptime and rules can vary.

Why server lists change

Servers can appear, disappear, change IP addresses, become overloaded, or stop accepting connections. A fresh list is helpful, but it cannot guarantee that every server will connect at the moment you try it.

What users should consider

Choose servers with reasonable speed and lower latency when available. Avoid sending sensitive information through websites that do not use HTTPS. Read the privacy policy before using the service.

How Vortix VPN uses public servers

Vortix VPN provides an Android interface for selecting and connecting to available public VPN Gate/OpenVPN servers. It does not own every endpoint shown in the list.
