How Vortix VPN handles information.

Overview

Vortix VPN is an Android VPN client that helps users connect to selected public VPN Gate/OpenVPN servers. The app is designed to provide core VPN functionality without requiring a Vortix VPN account.

Information handled by the app

To provide the VPN service, the app may handle the following information on your device:

• Public VPN server list information, including country, IP address, speed, ping, and session count.
• A locally cached copy of the server list to help the app load server options.
• Temporary OpenVPN profile data required to start and manage a VPN connection.
• Network and connection status information used to show whether the VPN is active.
• Your external IP address only when you use a connection check feature.

What we do not intentionally collect

We do not intentionally collect account login details, payment details, contact lists, photos, messages, or browsing history through the Vortix VPN app.

How VPN connections work

When you connect to a VPN server, your internet traffic is routed through the selected VPN endpoint. Public VPN Gate servers are volunteer-operated third-party endpoints. Like any VPN endpoint, the server you choose may be able to observe traffic that passes through or terminates at that server.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Your traffic is routed to the VPN endpoint you select because that routing is the core purpose of the VPN service.

Retention

Server list data may be stored locally on your device to improve loading. Temporary connection data is used only as needed to establish, maintain, or stop the VPN session.

Security

The VPN tunnel uses OpenVPN-based connection technology. The level of protection may depend on the selected server, network conditions, and the destination services you access.

Children's privacy

Vortix VPN is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed to children.
